Dear Friends of the Alliance Française,
We hope you’ve been enjoying the start of spring and wish you a wonderful Easter filled with joy and celebration! A heartfelt thank you for being part of our community, your presence and enthusiasm make our events so special.
This month, we’re excited to continue our Cultural Talks, movie night, and picnic, bringing more opportunities to connect and celebrate French language and culture together. Plus, registration for our Summer Camp is now open! It’s a fantastic way for children to learn French while having fun. Feel free to spread the word!
Last month, our AFGO team had the honor of serving as judges at the 73ème Congrès de la Culture Française en Floride (CCFF), held in Orlando. It was a wonderful opportunity to support and celebrate students passionate about the French language-perfectly timed as we embraced Francophonie Month!
We also had the privilege of hosting professional golfer and Olympian Perrine Delacour for an inspiring Cultural Talk. She shared her incredible journey in the world of golf, her Olympic experience, and even raffled off one of her clubs! It was truly a memorable evening for all who attended.
We look forward to seeing you soon at AFGO!

AFGO at the 73rd Congress of French Culture in Florida!

Our AFGO team had the honor of serving as judges at the 73ème Congrès de la Culture Française en Floride (CCFF), which took place from March 6 to 8, 2025, in Orlando.
This year, 456 students from 24 schools participated in this prestigious statewide competition, celebrating the 2025 theme: “La cuisine du monde francophone.”
Since its establishment in 1952, CCFF has been dedicated to fostering a love for the French language, literature, and civilization among Florida students. Participants showcased their talents in dictation, reading, theater, skits, puzzles, spelling bees, and French civilization competitions. More than just a contest, CCFF is a vibrant celebration of French culture, bringing together students who inspire and support one another.
We would like to express our deep appreciation to CCFF and its organizers for their dedication in making this event such a success every year. Their hard work and commitment to promoting French culture are truly invaluable.
Bravo to all the students, teachers, and volunteers who made this edition unforgettable!
An Unforgettable Cultural Talk with Perrine Delacour

What an incredible evening at the Alliance Française! We had the honor of welcoming Perrine Delacour, professional golfer and Olympian, for a captivating discussion about her journey in the world of golf.
She shared fascinating insights into the intensity of professional competition, her experience at the Paris Olympic Games, and the unforgettable moment of hitting the very first tee shot of the tournament. Beyond the inspiring conversation, Perrine delighted attendees by signing golf balls and even raffling off one of her clubs!
A huge thank you to Perrine for her generosity and to everyone who joined us for this special event. We wish her the best of luck as she heads to her next tournament in South Africa!
