At French Fun and Learning Summer Camp, we’ve chosen the theme of the Olympics to celebrate the upcoming games in Paris. Join us as we explore the rich history, culture, and sportsmanship of this global event.
Why the Olympics?
With the Olympics taking place in Paris this year, there’s no better time to dive into the world of sports, competition, and international camaraderie. Our campers will have the opportunity to learn about the creation of the Olympics, its fascinating history, iconic symbols like the Paris pictograms, and the wide array of Olympic and Paralympic sports.
Weekly Themes:
Each week at our summer camp is a new adventure, guided by experienced teachers who bring the Olympics to life through engaging activities and lessons. Here’s a sneak peek at what each week has in store:
- Week 1: Olympic Presentation Dive into the vibrant world of the Olympics with colorful presentations, dance, games, sports, and a closer look at Olympic mascots.
- Week 2: Olympic Travel Embark on a journey to discover other cultures through the lens of the Olympics, exploring traditions, customs, and global perspectives.
- Week 3: Olympic Torch Relay and Aquatic Adventures Dive into the thrilling world of aquatic sports and the wonders of the ocean! Discover Olympic water events like swimming and diving. Explore the significance of the sea in the Olympics, including the exciting tradition of the Olympic torch relay traveling over water.
- Week 4: Olympic Camping Channel your inner survivor and experience the thrill of outdoor camping, just like an Olympic athlete preparing for the games.
- Week 5: Olympic Finale Celebrate the end of our Olympic journey with an award ceremony, complete with the national anthem and recognition for our campers’ achievements.
Summer Camp Details:
- Dates: June 17-21, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29 – Aug. 2nd
- Sessions: Morning (9 AM – 12 PM) for ages 4 to 9, Afternoon (1 PM – 4 PM) for ages 10 to 13
- Tuition: $260 per week, plus supplies and material participation fees
