SCHOOL NEWS

  • Our French Fun and Learning Summer Camp for children will take place from June 17th to 21st and July 8th to August 2nd. This year, we will have children from 4 to 9 years old in the morning (9am to 12pm) and 10 to 13 years old in the afternoon (1 to 4 pm).
  • Our next Saturday Activities Class for children 4 to 12 years old will take place on May 4th from 9 to 11 am (theme: Mother’s Day).
  • From May 11th to July 13th, we are offering an intensive beginner 20-hour package of French adult classes focused on essential basics for travel to French-speaking countries. Classes will take place in-person on Saturdays (12:30 to 2:30pm).


Discover France and its Culture lectures:

Seasons 32 and 33 focus on the Champagne region. Season 32 took place March 1st-30th. Season 33 starts on April 5th and ends May 25th. These lectures are in English on Friday evening and in French on Saturday evening. For more details, please visit our website www.aforlando.org.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Picnic/pétanque and children picnic event:
    ○ Location: Mead Botanical Garden
    ○ Date: Sunday, May 19th
    ○ Time: 12:30pm potluck lunch followed by pétanque games (French ball game)
    ○ Children picnic: With a “Splish Splash” theme and water play activities, we will dive
    into graduation at our picnic to celebrate the accomplishments of children who have successfully completed one year of French classes.
  2. Movie night:
    ○ Location: AFGO’s office
    ○ Date: Saturday, May 25th
    ○ Time: 6:30pm potluck dinner, followed by the projection of a French movie subtitled in
    English. In mid-May, an email with all the movie details will be sent out.
