At the very beginning of October, we selected the old and funny movie named “The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob” to be projected this month. Worldwide, the Alliance Francaise is strictly a cultural organization, with an absolute prohibition regarding any reference to religions or politics.

Therefore, our Board decided to withdraw the above quoted movie, and replace it with the film “Les Novices” (“The Novices”) described below.

The movie “The Novices” stars legendary French screen and idol sex symbol Brigitte Bardot and Annie Girardot.
Agnes, a nun (Bardot), follows the convent to the beach for a swim in the ocean. She soon abandons the group and takes off on an adventurous romp. When she meets Lisa (Girardot), a fun-loving hooker, she thinks that perhaps being a prostitute would better suit her. But after several mishaps as a “working girl” she must chose between a habit and high heels.
