FALL FRENCH CLASSES
We had a wonderful start to our Back-to-School season at the Alliance Française! With so much interest in our French classes, some classes are already full, so we’ve opened new classes to welcome more students.
We still have spots available, and we have French classes for everyone — adults, teens, and children, from beginners to advanced learners!

SEPTEMBER 13 – Pique-nique/Pétanque
Join us for our monthly Pique-nique Pétanque on Sunday, September 13 2026, at 12:30 PM at Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park.
Gather with friends, family, and members of the AFGO community for a relaxed afternoon of good food, friendly conversation, and pétanque. Bring a dish to share for our potluck picnic and enjoy a fun day outdoors in one of Winter Park’s most beautiful settings.
SEPTEMBER 18 – Les RDV de L’Alliance
Our Cultural Talks are back — with a new name!
Introducing Les Rendez-Vous de l’Alliance, a name that better reflects what these gatherings are all about: coming together, discovering, sharing, and connecting through culture.
For our first Rendez-Vous, we’re thrilled to welcome Dani Donadi, a composer whose work includes music for films and theme park attractions.

SEPTEMBER 19 – Movie Night/Cine Club
Mark your calendars for our next Monthly Movie Night on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at the Alliance Française of Greater Orlando.
Join us for a screening of Bernadette, a French comedy starring Catherine Deneuve. The film offers a witty and entertaining look at the life of Bernadette Chirac as she navigates her new role at the Élysée Palace.
As always, bring a dish to share for our friendly potluck dinner and enjoy an evening of French-language cinema, good food, laughter, and great company.

Florida Prize in Contemporary art tour in French
In August, we had a wonderful time at the Orlando Museum of Art for our third annual French-language tour!
Led by Chief Curator Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon, the tour gave us a fascinating perspective on the museum’s exhibitions and collection. The afternoon ended with a truly special performance of Mette Tommerup’s A Magnificent Aurora Fallen to Earth, performed by Phantasmagoria Unplugged.
A big thank you to the Orlando Museum of Art for this wonderful partnership, and a special thank you to Coralie for this opportunity and for sharing her time and expertise with us. It’s always a pleasure to have her as our guide!
We look forward to many more moments where French, art, and culture come together in our community.
