ACTIVITIES
Fun! Fun! Fun! On March 13, AFGO monthly picnic took place at Mead Garden, as scheduled. The weather was beautiful. After a friendly potluck lunch, four pétanque teams were formed and played, and played … until 7:00 pm !!!
We hope that the weather conditions will be as favorable on Sunday, April 10, when the next picnic will take place at Mead Botanical Garden (Winter Park), with a potluck at 12:30 pm, followed by the pétanque games.
In addition to this outdoor event, last month we restarted an indoor event, i.e. our monthly movie night interrupted in March 2020 due to COVID-19. We held a movie night on March 26, and the next one will take place on Saturday, April 23. In due time, you will receive an invitation with all the details regarding this upcoming event.
Our language school is doing well, both for adults and children.
As far as the kids are concerned, we are planning to hold a summer camp, named “French Fun and Learning” (FFL), in two phases this year, at the following dates:
Phase 1 | Phase 2 |
From June 13 to 17 | From July 11 to 15 |
From June 20 to 24 | From July 18 to 22 |
This camp will take place each day (5 days per week), from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in AFGO office located at 1516 E. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32803.
You will soon receive a flyer with all the details regarding this summer camp, including the pricing, for children 4 to 13 years of age.
The lectures named “Discover France and its Culture” continue with season 16. We remind you that this cycle of conferences about different regions of France is held (in Zoom) in English on Friday (April1) evening, and in French on Saturday (April 2) evening. Season 16 is about the Pyrenees region.
